June is Pride month in the United States, so this month’s theme is inspirational LGBTQ+ People. Our first one is Danica Roem. I picked Danica because I went to the last night of Milwaukee pride yesterday, and Danica was this year’s opening keynote for Milwaukee pride.

What she does for social justice: Danica is the first openly transgender person to be elected to the Virginia General Assembly and the first openly transgender person to both be elected and serve in any U.S. state legislature. She can shares her story, and spreads the word about LGBTQ+ issues as well as other issues.
This millennial is a leader for change! She represents a critical advancement in our country in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights
